PAY YOUR TAXES WITH AN ELECTRONIC CHECK (E-CHECK)

This an easy, low cost***, paperless payment process which allows you to pay your Amador County property taxes from your checking account via the Internet. To pay by e-check, visit Internet site www.officialpayments.com/echeck, choose “Make A Payment”, then “Local Payments”, and follow instructions. You will be prompted to enter your Assessment Number (available on your property tax bill), the amount of the tax bill you are paying, your name and address, your telephone number, your e-mail address, and your checking account information. Once you have completed the payment process, you will be given a confirmation/receipt number which you should keep for your records. (PLEASE NOTE:  If you do not receive a confirmation number at the end of your transaction, your transaction was NOT successful.)  Your payment will be effective on the date you complete the transaction.

***There is currently a $3.00 fee for each payment transaction of less than $10,000.00.  Please note that the vendor processing our on-line payments assesses this fee.  The Tax Collector's Office does not charge a fee to handle electronic transactions.
